  • WIPO-India Summer School Concludes at MNLU, Nagpur on February 19, 2021

The fourth edition of WIPO-India Summer School on Intellectual Property-2021 (Online) organized by WIPO Academy Geneva, RGNIIPM Nagpur and Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur concluded on Friday. 107 participants from all over the world, including countries like Peru, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, China, Netherlands, Philippines and India participated in the Summer School.

Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur was the chief guest for the Valedictory Programme. Ms. Maria Stella Ntamark, WIPO Academy, Geneva, Prof. (Dr.) Vijender Kumar, VC MNLU, Nagpur, Dr. PankajBorkar Head, RGNIIPM, Nagpur and Dr. RaginiKhubalkar, In-charge, DPIIT-IPR Chair MNLU Nagpur graced the occasion. Prof. (Dr.) V. C. Vivekanandan appreciated the efforts of all the three Institutions in organizing the WIPO India Summer school. He appreciated the efforts put in by MNLU Nagpur in creating awareness about Intellectual Property Rights.

Prof. (Dr.) Vijender Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the MNLU, Nagpur delivered the welcome address and congratulated the participants on successful completion of the Summer School and appreciated their efforts in attending the classes regularly through online mode. Dr. RaginiKhubalkar presented an exhaustive report of the summer School 2021. Ms. Maria Stella Ntamark from WIPO Academy, Geneva stressed upon the partnership in organizing the event and appreciated the manner in which the event was conducted.

Few participants also came forward to appreciate the contribution of the summer school in enriching their knowledge about intellectual property. Dr. PankajBorkar, Deputy Controller of CGPDTM and head of RGNIIPM, Nagpur proposed vote of thanks and the event was concluded with recitation of the National Anthem. Ms. ShwetaKulkarni and Mr. Srijan Mishra, the Research Assistants made efforts for success of the programme.
