- Prof. Ganesh Hingmire delivers Fourth Lecture in MNLU, Nagpur Expert Lecture Series on January 24, 2021
The DPIIT-IPR Chair at Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur launched Expert Lecture Series on interface of Intellectual Property Rights with other Laws to realise the objectives of the AtmaNirbhar Bharat initiative of the Government of India and to create awareness of Intellectual Property Rights. The virtual lecture was delivered by Mr. Ganesh Hingmire, Founder and Chairman, Great Mission Group Consultancy. He enlightened the participants with the Indian perspective of significance of GI. He presented a comparative analysis of GI tag products falling under agriculture category and monetary benefits arising thereof. He has registered over 26 GIs including Nasik grapes, Puneripagdi, Paithanisaree, Mahabaleshwar strawberry, Kolhapurijaggery, Ambemore rice and grabbed a GI tag for Kashmir Mushrooms recently. The expert lecture was conducted under the guidance of DPIIT-IPR Chair In-charge, Dr. Ragini P. Khubalkar and Research Assistants, ShwetaKulkarni and Srijan Mishra.
