  • Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Unni delivers Second Lecture in MNLU, Nagpur Expert Lecture Series on December 29, 2020

The Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT), IPR Chair at Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur launched Expert Lecture Series on interface of Intellectual Property Rights with other Laws. The IPR Chair aims to realise the objectives of the AtmaNirbhar Bharat initiative of the Government of India. The lecture series has been conceptualised to spread the Intellectual Property Rights awareness.

The second Lecture of the Series was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Unni, Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta on the subject ‘Significance of Trade Secret Protection in Contemporary Era’. Prof. V.K. Unni gave an insight to the existing problems in protection of Trade secret and its violations. The lecture was focused on Potter’s Five Forces Formula from Harward University and Prof V. K. Unni explained the need of separate legislation for trade secrets as the undisclosed information of a company is a commercial asset which needs protection from the competitors.
