Dr. Trishla Dubey

Assistant Professor of Law

Dr. Trishla Dubey joined Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur in 2020. She specializes in Environmental Law, Climate Change Law, and International Trade Law. Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of sustainable development, global environmental governance, and trade-environment linkages. Dr. Dubey has completed various courses from esteemed institutions such as University of Delhi, GNLU-GMU Academy, UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe, United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), UNEP, and RGNUL Punjab.

Dr. Dubey has participated in numerous national and international conferences addressing contemporary issues in environment and trade law. She has published her research in reputed journals, including SCOPUS-indexed publications as well as UGC-CARE listed journals.

She has been invited to deliver lectures in refresher courses and training programs organized by premier institutions such as National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, a government-funded research institution under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), a central government department under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in India (DPIIT Chair) at MNLU Nagpur, UGC-HRDC Jodhpur, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, among others.

Dr. Dubey, in the capacity of Centre-In-Charge of Centre for Environmental Law at MNLU, Nagpur, has also organized an International Conference on Access and Benefit Sharing in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Biodiversity Board, which hosted officers from the Indian Forest Service (IFS), representatives from various State Biodiversity Boards, the National Biodiversity Authority, and the World Bank.

At MNLU Nagpur, she has been a member of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Scholarship Committee and University Library Committee and faculty advisor of Student Bar Council, ADR Society, Student Library Committee, Quiz, Debate and Literary Committee, Sports Committee and NALSA Committee. Currently, she is the Coordinator of B.A.L.L.B (Hons.) Programme at the University.

In addition to her teaching, research and administrative engagements, she has served as a judge and evaluator in various Moot Court and Mediation Competitions, and has chaired technical sessions at several national and international conferences.
