Mr. Sopan B. Shinde
Assistant Professor of English
Sopan joined National Law University as Assistant Professor of English in November 2016. He has Master's degree in English and has qualified UGC NET and SET. He teaches interdisciplinary courses: Law and Language and Law and Literature Courses and his areas of interest include legalese, persuasive communication and rhetoric in law, forensic linguistics, legal semiotics, human rights and literature, law and culture, and narrative and law. He has presented several papers in national and international seminars and conferences. He has 10 years of previous teaching experience. He has taught Vocational English at graduate level and Indian Writing in English at post-graduate level besides English language bridge courses to students from more than forty nationalities. He is pursuing Ph.D. from NLU, Nagpur in literature and human rights interface.
