Dr. Shuvro Prosun Sarker

Assistant Professor of Law

 

Dr. Shuvro Prosun Sarker joined NLU, Nagpur as Assistant Professor of Law in June 2019. He teaches Public International Law, International Refugee Law, International Humanitarian Law and Property Laws. He holds B.A. LL.B. from University of Calcutta (2010), LL.M (2012) and Ph.D. (2017) from the WB National University of Juridical Sciences.

He started his academic career in 2013 as a Research Assistant of Prof. Ranabir Samaddar in the Mahanirban Calcutta Research Group where he worked on migration and Indo-Bangladesh Borderland. He joined School of Law, KIIT University in 2014 as Assistant Professor and served for a year before leaving for Germany with a DAAD Scholarship in 2015. After returning from Germany and the submission of PhD Thesis, he joined the Centre for Regulatory Studies, Governance and Public Policy (established by the Govt. of West Bengal in the WB National University of Juridical Sciences) in 2017 as Research Associate and worked on Right to Information, Excise Laws, Prevention of Witch Hunting Laws, Forest Management, etc.
He has written research papers on topics related to human rights, international public law, international and regional refugee law, access to justice and clinical legal education. A list of his
