Dr. Ragini P. Khubalkar

Assistant Professor of Law

Dr. Ragini Prafulla Khubalkar is an Assistant Professor of Law. With her immense interest in the study of finer aspects of the Intellectual Property laws, she has done her Ph.D. on the topic of Protection of Copyright Law highlighting the national and international perspectives. After completing her LL.B. ( 5 yrs course), Ragini did her LL.M. (Commercial Laws) and also LL.M. ( Intellectual Property Rights) in addition to her simultaneous post graduation in M.A. ( Economics). As a Law Teacher, she enjoyed her initial assignment as a Contributory Lecturer at the Nagpur University's Law College, since 2001 till she was appointed as a permanent faculty in law. She has cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC in June 2009, in LAW. In the year 2010, she joined as an Assistant Professor of Law at GWCL Nagpur , where she had worked till November 2016. Since 12th November 2016, Dr. Ragini has joined the prestigious Maharashtra National Law University as Assistant Professor in Law.

She continued her academic interest and completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws and Information Technology, with scholarly excellence and stood 2nd in order of Merit. While attending various Conferences and Seminars on law topics at Delhi, Pune and many other places, she has got to her credit several Paper Presentations, especially on the topic of IP laws. A feather in her cap was her award of 'Best Paper Presentation' on the topic of Plagiarism, at National Conference 2014 held at RTMNU's Law College Nagpur. Special mention need to be made about her selection for IP Teachers Workshop, at NLU Delhi in April 2016, where she also got an opportunity to attend the 1st Roundtable conducted by CIIPC. With her remarkable ability to capture the attention of students, she has experience of teaching various law subjects and her teaching areas include Intellectual Property Laws, Law of Torts, Interpretation of Statutes, Legal Language etc. With her experience of almost 16 years as a law teacher, she has mastered the skill to tackle the students problems related to their law course. As a permanent faculty, she has guided several students in their Dissertation and Socio Legal Research projects. She has actively participated in a number of extra-curricular activities of students.
